- Sony has announced the beta program in PlayStation
- It provides a “centralized place” to monitor PS5 and PC tests
- The tests can include PS5 and PC games, as well as the next functions of the console.
Sony has announced a new initiative called Beta Program in PlayStation, which aims to offer a convenient center to monitor each and every one of the pre -launch tests for the next PS5 and PC games, as well as new functions.
The PlayStation PlayStation blog publication has all the details, with the senior director of Sid Shuman content communications that describes the initiative as “an easy and centralized place for you to record your interest in a variety of future betas of PlayStation.”
It does not sound very different from the Xbox Insider program for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC that allows users to record interest in a range of tests for new games and features.
The publication continues: “A single record for the BETA program in PlayStation will allow you to express interest in obtaining beta access to try participating games for the PS5 and PC console, new functions of the PS5 console, characteristics of the PlayStation application and even user experience features on PlayStation.com.
“You only need to register once to express interest in these various betas, and if you receive an invitation to a specific beta, it depends on you to decide whether you want to participate or not.”
You can register in the Beta program in PlayStation on its dedicated destination page, the only requirements are that it has a valid PlayStation Red account, lives in a compatible region and is or above the legal age requirements for your region.
In addition, it is worth noting that registering in the Beta program in PlayStation does not necessarily guarantee entries in any games and characteristics test. This seems to be more a way to collect those tests in a practical place of registration instead of having to track separate publications or emails.
