The Indiana fever star, Sophie Cunningham, will miss the rest of the 2025 WNBA season after suffering a right knee injury on Sunday against Connecticut Sun.
Cunningham had to receive help from the court in the second quarter after Bria Hartley del Sun fell into his right leg. Cunningham immediately grabbed his knee as he stayed in the hard wood. After being evaluated by coaches, she was helped to go to the locker room.
The fever announced Tuesday that Cunningham is expected to recover completely, although they did not specify the exact nature of the injury.

Cunningham was injured as he took a step forward to provide additional defense in the paint. When Hartley turned the ball to Lexie Hull, he lost his balance and fell directly to Cunningham’s right leg.
