- Soundcore Space 2 have been announced at the MWC in Barcelona
- Larger battery and improved ANC
- $130/£130 (around AU$250) is a price increase over its predecessors
We were quite impressed with the Soundcore Space One, and even more impressed with the Space One Pro, which members of the TechRadar team have used consistently since its launch. Three years after the originals came out, a new model has arrived.
The Soundcore Space 2 are here, unveiled at the MWC 2026 mobile technology conference by parent company Anker.
These new contenders are not TRUE However, there are no longer any contenders on our list of best cheap headphones, because they have seen a price increase over the previous model. They’ll cost $129.99/£129.99 (around AU$250), compared to $99/£99 for the previous model (around AU$180), so let’s hope the upgrades are worth it.
Soundcore Space 2: the two clear improvements are resistance and ANC
There are two clear improvements present in the Soundcore Space 2 spec sheet.
Firstly, battery life has increased: the cans now last 70 hours of listening, or 55 if you activate ANC. With long-lasting batteries now a common feature on affordable cans, any upgrades in this department are welcome.
Next, Soundcore has promised updates to its active noise cancellation software, which can now apparently remove louder noise as well as lower frequency sounds.
Some other updates appear to be changes to wear detection, which is good because that was one of our biggest complaints with the original pair, and an improved listening test.
Beyond that, you’ll find 40mm drivers, soft memory foam cups, and availability in three different color options: white, black, and green.
so no massive updates here, but some tweaks that could create an improved package overall, and we’ll have to test them to find out. Perhaps a Space 2 Pro will bring more radical changes when we use them.
