Pakistan Railways has presented the schedule of five special trains that will operate during EID UL-FIT to accommodate a greater demand for travel.
Special trains, designed to facilitate passengers during the festive season, will be executed on several important routes. According to the official announcement, the special trains schedule Eid-Ul-Fit 2025:
Special trains will offer a range of classes, including the economy, CA business and CA standard, to meet the diverse passenger needs.
Pakistan Railways headquarters has issued detailed instructions to all division officers regarding EID trains, ensuring travel arrangements without problems for the holiday season.
On the other hand, the Federal Government announced on Wednesday holidays for Eidul Fitr, from March 31 to April 2.
A notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat stated that the prime minister has declared these dates as holidays to celebrate Eidul Fitr.
The holiday period will run from Monday to Wednesday, allowing citizens to observe the festivities and celebrate the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Central Committee of Ruet-E-Hilal, together with the Zonal Committees, will meet on Sunday, March 30, 2025 (Ramazan 29, 1446 AH), to see the Shawwal moon, marking the potential end of the Sacred Month of Ramadan and the beginning of the Eid Ul-Fitr celebrations in Pakistan.
The meeting will be held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interreligious Harmony, where religious scholars, weather experts and other interested parties will meet to examine the moon sighting reports throughout the country.
This session will determine the exact date for Eidul Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, the most sacred month in the Islamic calendar.
