If there is something that attracts music lovers to register for Spotify Premium, it is listening without ads without ads. However, a recent error in the Spotify application has been placed in advertisements between music broadcasts, demonstrating that even the best music transmission services have their defective moments.
The first error reports appeared online four weeks ago in the Spotify community forum, and quickly proved to be a common fact for many premium subscribers, causing significant frustration among those who pay to listen to music without advertising. A few days after online complaints, Spotify acknowledged the problem and set out to solve the error, share the following statement: “We have good news of our teams, a solution for cases where Premium users noticed that ads when listening to music have been implemented and should notice a difference immediately.”
But that was four weeks ago, and almost a month after the problem with the ads on Spotify Premium, it looked like many music fans they paid were still finding ads between songs. Although Spotify has expressed about promotional content mainly within podcasts, ads should not take place at the premium level for those who subscribe.
Finally, Spotify finally addressed the problem (again) this week by taking X (previously Twitter) on Thursday, March 6 to share the problem of the problem (see below). This is the last update we have received from the company, therefore, we can only assume that Spotify is currently addressing the problem in front.
We are aware of some problems with the application at this time and we are reviewing them! We will keep them informed here: https://t.co/locqe1o9OEMarch 6, 2025
Could this mistake indicate the arrival of Spotify Hifi?
Spotify has surely had its work that has done so, especially after its repression in ‘cracked’ applications, but it is terribly convenient that these errors have emerged, particularly following the recent rumors that Spotify Hifi could reach the end of this year.
Instead of launching a new level for losses, we can expect Spotify Hifi to be a complement to its premium level. One of the most interesting parts of the upcoming Spotify companies is the possibility of a new level ‘Superfan’, which promises experiences of improved fans through deeper musical catalogs and even offers in tickets for concerts.
Since Spotify has not experienced not one, but two errors problems in a short space of time, it only raises my suspicion that it could be in the midst of making space to introduce its next levels and subscription accessories. Spotify has endured the worst part of many criticisms, not only because of its ADS-in-Premium error but also its five-year loss-free audio delay. There is a lot of pressure on Spotify to do it well, and I just hope I can exchange yourself.
