Stephen Colbert is proud of Jimmy Kimmel.
On Wednesday, September 24, episode of CBS ‘ The Late Show with Stephen ColbertThat he was canceled after 10 seasons in July of this year, the 61 -year -old American comedian and writer admitted that he is on the moon knowing that Kimmel is back on television after a brief cancellation of his program, Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
In an Instagram clip that began with the words “freedom of expression prevails” written about him, Colbert said he was “in a good mood.”
When throwing light on Kimmel’s return to his show on Tuesday night, September 23, he expressed his thoughts joking: “Last night, our friend Jimmy Kimmel returned to television, so proud of him! So proud to know that man.”
The despicable star of Me 4 sprouted: “Jimmy spoke wonderfully about freedom of expression and unity, made great jokes, showed his deep emotions, obtained great qualifications.”
Colbert also joked that the return of the program turned out to be so exceptional that Disney has proclaimed to launch the live action version of Guillermo & Stitch next summer, a reference to Kimmel’s Sidekick, Guillermo RodrÃguez and the movie Lilo & Stitch.
This occurs after Disney’s decision on Monday, September 22 to issue Jimmy Kimmel Live! On Tuesday, September 23, only one week later, the program was put in an undefined pause on September 17 after the 57 -year -old television presenter and comedian about the death of Charlie Kirk, the right -wing political commentator.
Disney, owner of ABC, issued a statement on Monday, declaring: “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production in the program to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.”
“It is a decision that we make because we feel that some of the comments were evil and, therefore, insensitive. We have spent the last days having reflexive conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we arrived at the decision to return the program on Tuesday,” the statement concluded.
