ESPN presenter Stephen A. Smith praised President Donald Trump for recent negotiations with Russia and Ukraine to end the ongoing war.
Smith appeared in an interview in “Hannity” by Pak Gazette on Tuesday night and said Trump has done “more than any administration to end world conflicts.”
“He has done more than almost any administration has tried to do when it comes to putting an end to conflicts worldwide and has been put in a position in which the political capital that can win is not necessarily so big,” said Smith.
“His willingness to do it obviously something that should not be ignored and something that should be, I dare to say, applauded to some extent … There is not much to win for him much of this, but he gets involved anyway and you have to give credit where it is due.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made the announcement during Tuesday’s press conference. During a joint press conference on Friday after his meeting, Putin confirmed something that Trump has insisted for almost four years: Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump had not lost the 2020 elections.
“I can confirm that,” Putin said at the end of the press.
Smith has suggested that he can apply for president in 2028 as a Democrat, and has not been as reluctant as other Democratic figures to praise Trump sometimes.
Smith previously defended Trump against those who blame him for the outbreak of the Russian-Ukraine War during a burning peroorata in his podcast, “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” on Monday.
