Sting is being sued by its former police bandmates.

The solo artist and his former London trio man is being taken to the Court for “substantial” damage and lost royalties by guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland.

According to The sunA source said the lawsuit “has arrived for quite some time,” added: “Lawyers repeatedly tried to reach an extrajudicial agreement but reached a dead point.”

“Andy and Stewart decided that there was no alternative that the Court, so pressed the button. They say that millions in lost royalties are owed,” said the source.

It is believed that the case was registered in the Superior Court of London under “contracts and general commercial agreements” with Sting as accused together with his company, Magnetic Publishing Limited.

It is pertinent to mention that the iconic police formed in 1977 before they separated in the mid -80s.

A Sting spokesman denied that legal action was related to Every Breath You Take But he did not comment on the case.
