The Sindh Taraqipasand Party (STP) organized a demonstration of protest and a demonstration in Sujawal on Sunday against the growing trade of narcotics and the prolonged raising of the electricity burden in the district.

The Stp Sujawal chapter directed a demonstration of Mamoon Laddu Chowk to the public park, where a large number of leaders, workers and citizens of the party joined.

Participants sang slogans against drug vendors and energy cuts.

The key leaders of STP, including the president of the district of Sujawal, Jumman Sindhi, Abdul Ghani Mallah, Abdul Wahid Khasakheli, Mumtaz Laghari, Gul Hassan Rind, Ashraf Theem and the leaders of the district of Thatta, Syed Jalal Shah, Tariq Amar Abbasi and Rajes Qureshi to the meeting. Local bearers and citizens also participated in large quantities.

The speakers expressed a serious concern about the increase in drug addiction among young people, including alcohol, ice, heroin, Mawa and Indian Gutka, calling it an important public health and crime problem.

They criticized the law enforcement agencies for their inaction and claimed that narcotics are openly sold without fear of responsibility.

They warned that if quick measures are not taken, the protest campaign would intensify throughout the region.

The protesters also condemned the prolonged power cuts not announced in Sujawal amid the suffocating heat, accusing Hesco officials of negligence and indifference.

The STP leaders warned that if the electricity supply did not stabilize soon, Hesco’s offices in protest would be besieged.
