Eid Milad-Un-Nabi is being observed in Rawalpindi with devotion as the committees end the preparations, together with the strict security measures for the main procession.
More than 6,000 police and personnel officers will be deployed in Rawalpindi to guarantee the secret of the processions. At the processing points of the processions, travel doors will be installed, the participants will only be allowed to enter after searches in the body.
The main procession will go through Banni Chowk, Circular Road, Waris Khan, Murree Road, Chowk Committee, Iqbal Road, Bohar Bazaar, Fawara Chowk, Raja Bazaar and Ding Khoi Chowk, before concluding in Jamia Masjid Road. The streets, roads and alleys along the procession route will be sealed for security.
According to the Vice President of the Milad Committee, Hafiz Hassan Fareedi, the main Eid-un-Nabi procession in Rawalpindi will open at 11 am on the stage that has been established outside the historic Jamia Masjid.

“The inaugural ceremony will attend officials of the District Administration, members of the Central Committee of Milad, academics and religious leaders,” said Hafiz Hassan Fareedi. The administration has put a prohibition of the NAAT groups based on music and large vehicles in the procession.
Separately, the main procession of the Milad Committee in the 12th Rabi-Uwwal will begin at 10 am of Chungi No.22 Chowk.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif greeted the nation and Muslim Ummah in Eid Milad-Ul-Nabi. In their individual messages, they urged people to commit to mold individual and collective lives according to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The prime minister in his message explained that we must call the country to renew its commitment to build Pakistan in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He also asked to reject all forms of prejudice, sectarianism, extremism and hate, and entered to promote qualities such as empathy, solidarity and harmony, all citizens.
Milad meetings will be held both at the government and private level. Naat reciters will present tributes in honor of the Holy Prophet (Pubh).
