The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Imran Ali presided on Monday a meeting of the Peace Committee of the District (DPC) and discussed the arrangements to maintain the law and order during the Holy Month of Muharram.
The additional attached commissioner Salmun Ayub, member of the DPC and the officials of other interested departments attended the meeting.
The attached commissioner said that infallible agreements to maintain peace during the sacred month was the priority of the district administration, adding that all available resources would be used in that regard.
He urged people who belong to all schools of thought to cooperate with the administration for observing Pacific Ashura.
The attached commissioner ordered him to make an infallible security for the public meeting (Majalis) and the routes of the duel processions.
He said that the suggestions of religious scholars would have a priority to maintain peace during the sacred month, and the control room would be established at the Tehsil level in that regard.
The attached commissioner said that Majalis and procession routes would be monitored through CCTV Cameras.
