Students dominate intermediate results in Karachi

The Karachi Intermediate Education Board (BIEK) announced on Tuesday the results of the annual 2025 exams for second -year domestic economy groups and special candidates (regular arts), with students who ensure all the top positions in both categories.

The president of Biek, Faqer Muhammad Lakho, officially declared the results and shared details of the best results in both groups.

In the home economy group, Erum Faisal (Roll No 2045), a Rana Liaquat Ali Khan student Government College of Economics of the Home, said first place with 1,054 brands of 1,200, obtaining an A-1 qualification.

The second position was claimed by Imaan Hashmi (Roll No. 2044), who obtained 988 brands with an A-1 rating, while Shaza Nayab (Roll No 2135) secured third position with 980 brands, also obtained an A-1 rating.

In the group of special candidates (regular arts), Syeda Fariha (Roll No 995539) of Dewa High School took first place with 960 brands of 1,100, achieving an A-1 qualification.

The second position was for Barira Islam (Roll No 995533), also from Dewa, who obtained 925 brands with an A-1 rating. Imaan Al Shams (Roll No 995502) of the school and the Ida-Rieu University for the deaf assured the third place with 920 points, also obtaining an A-1 qualification.

Sharing more details, the Zarina Rashid exam controller said that in the domestic economy group, a total of 198 registered candidates for the exams, of which 189 appeared and 112 were approved, which resulted in an approval percentage of 59.26.

Among the successful candidates, nine A-1 grades obtained, 24 received, 30 degrees B achieved, 31 degrees C obtained and 18 degrees D insured.

In the group of special candidates (regular arts), 116 registered candidates, of which 114 appeared in the exams. Of these, 103 candidates were declared successful, marking an approval percentage of 90.35. Nineteen candidates received A-1 grades, 55 obtained grades A, 27 degrees B insured and two degrees C won.
