Super Bowl champion, Dana Stubblefield, released from prison after the violation sentence is revoked


The Super Bowl champion and former star of the San Francisco 49ers, Dana Stubblefield, was released from the prison on Tuesday after her condemnation for rape of 2020 was unemployed by a Court of Appeals in California.

Stubblefield, who is black, revoked his conviction after the sixth Court of Appeals determined that prosecutors had made racially discriminatory statements during his trial.

The sixth Court of Appeals determined that the prosecutor violated the Racial Justice Law of California of 2020, which was approved during the summer of racial injustice after the police killed George Floyd.

Prosecutors said during the trial that the police had never looked at in Stubblefield’s house and that he had never introduced a evidence, saying that he was because he was a famous black man, and “would open a storm of controversy,” according to the decision of the Court of Appeals.

Stubblefield had completed almost four years of his 15 -year sentence.

“Finally, an innocent man is no longer sitting in a cage away from his family,” said Stubblefield’s defense lawyer Kenneth Rosenfeld, in a statement.

Stubblefield was sentenced to 15 years of life imprisonment in October 2020, when he was guilty of violating a disabled woman in development in 2015 that prosecutors said he attracted his house with the promise of a child care work.

The defense lawyers argued that a rape did not occur and that Stubblefield said the woman consented to sex in exchange for money.

Stubblefield played at the NFL for 11 years and was appointed defensive rookie with the 49ers in 1993.

The three times PRO Bowler was appointed defensive player of the year in 1997 after registering 15 captures.

After five seasons with the 49ers, Stubblefield played for the Washington Redskins for three seasons before meeting with the 49ers for two more seasons.

After his second period with the 49ers, Stubblefield played a season for the Oakland Raiders before retiring after the 2003 season.
