“Slop” games appeared in the digital store - The developer Randomspin has eliminated most of his games, including Bodycam Shooter, Superket Simutulle ProAnd more
It seems that Sony may have silently eliminated a series of “spam” showware of its PlayStation store.
This is produced after an IGN investigation, which presented developer interviews that criticize the lack of quality control in the PlayStation store and the Nintendo Eshop compared to the Xbox store, as well as the endless list of “spam” and ” Slop “Games and bad discovery capacity.
Now, several of these games of low quality PS4 and PS5 have apparently disappeared from the digital store (through true trophies).
In PSNProfiles, players have found evidence that suggests that developer Randomspin, who launched more than 40 titles only in 2024, has eliminated most of his games, including Bodycam Shooter, Superket Simutulle Pro, Bross Brotherhoodand Roomes inside the escape.
All these particular titles seemed to use recycled assets, along with images generated by AI, to copy other popular games currently available, such as Reissad Studio’s Canon either Supermarket simulator of the Nokta Games.
Sony is not clear if Sony made the sudden elimination of these games as a result of recent criticism, and could be purely coincidence. Sony has not commented on the elimination at this time.
In other news, Sony has announced that its first 2025 live game will be broadcast this week on February 12, 2025. The showcase will be executed for more than 40 minutes and will offer “news and updates on excellent games that arrive in PS5 “Luckily it means that we will learn the launch dates for Death Stranding 2: On the beach and Yōtei ghost.
