Surfshark has reaffirmed its commitment to privacy and transparency with the launch of its second NO Logs guarantee report on June 16, 2025.
Already qualified as one of the best Techradar VPN, this is the second time that Surfshark has worked with Deloitte to verify its commitment to the privacy of the user auditing its non-Logs policy.
Why is Surfshark non-logs policy verification
Surfshark invited Deloitte to audit his non-logs statement for the first time in 2023, illustrating the seriousness with which he requires user privacy.
However, a second NO-Logs guarantee report in 2025 “demonstrates the proactive approach to Surfshark’s privacy,” said Donatas Budvytis, director of Surfshark technology.
It is an update welcome in an industry where many VPN suppliers have not yet demonstrated their own claims without registration. Some VPN, particularly free VPN services, keep records. In some cases, these may contain personal identification information, putting user data and privacy at risk.
Recently, Chiara Castro de Techradar reported that about 17 free VPN applications found in Google and Apple application stores have ties with China. The VPN operating in China are subject to strict data retention laws and can be forced to share data with the Chinese government on request.
Surfshark’s decision to have Deloitte, one of the four great audit firms, takes a second look at his non -registration policy provides substantial credibility and, as Budvytis explains, “a great confirmation of privacy and transparency to our current and future users.”
It also proves surfshark claims that it does not monitor user activity or keeps records of their activities. That this is an independent second verification shows that this is a continuous commitment by Surfshark, and not simply a single.
This is what Deloitte was watching
Deloitte’s independent audit guarantees that Non-Logs policy of Surfshark has been properly implemented.
As part of his evaluation, Deloitte examined internal systems and processes, conducted interviews with Surfshark staff and reviewed support evidence.
Deloitte analyzed the standard, static servers and multiports of Surfshark while analyzing how these servers are configured and implemented. The privacy settings and operational procedures were closely inspected to ensure that surfshark’s privacy commitments are aligned.
Ultimately, Deloitte confirmed that Non-Logs policy is applied consistently in all relevant surfshark infrastructure.

What VPN suppliers have had their audited non-logs policies independently?
Surfshark is not the only VPN provider that has submitted its non-logs policy to an independent audit.
NordvPN had its non-logs claims verified by PWC in 2018 and 2020 before Deloitte performs independent reviews in 2022, 2023 and 2025.
The VPN that has suffered more audits than most is Expressvpn, since it has published 19 third -party audit reports to date.
