- The market value of Nvidia Salta $ 150 billion at $ 4.28TN after Intel’s surprise collaboration revealed
- Intel investment of $ 5 billion of the company eclipsed for $ 150 billion in own valuation
- The association focuses on CPU X86 personalized for AI platforms and consumer processor
The Nvidia market value increased by approximately $ 150 billion after the surprises news of a radical association with Intel.
To put things in context, that gain is bigger than all Intel market capitalization.
The Nvidia value rose from approximately $ 4.13 billion on September 17 to $ 4.28 billion per day later. The increase in the market value of NVIDIA was around 30 times the size of its investment of $ 5 billion in Intel shares (at $ 23.28 per share).
A TRUE WITHOUT TRIUMPH
The strong increase reflected the confidence of investors in the agreement, which will make Intel build CPU X86 customized for NVIDIA data centers platforms, while producing chips that combine Intel processors with chiplets GPU NVIDIA RTX for PC.
As reported by Tom hardwareNvidia’s executive president Jensen Huang said during a joint press conference with Intel, the collaboration had been in discussion for a while.
“The two technology teams have been discussing and architectting solutions now to probably reach a year,” he said.
“The two architecture teams … well, there are three architecture teams working … the architecture of the CPU, as well as the products lines for servers and PC.
Huang ruled out suggestions that politics influenced the association.
“The Trump administration had not participated in this association at all,” he said, before adding: “There would be very support, of course. Today I had the opportunity to tell the secretary [of Commerce Howard] Lutnick and he was very excited and supported two American technology companies working together. “
Huang also pointed out the scale of consumer potential demand.
“Only the notebook market is 150 million notebooks sold every year,” he said. “So that kind of idea of the work scale that we are going to do here. We are going to address the consumer market, we will address the vast majority of that consumer PC market, consumer PC notebook market.”

Although it is not expected that the products in which the two companies will be working arrive for several years, the collaboration is already seen as a great victory for Intel, which has had its share of problems in recent years, and a turning point in how companies approach the AI and the computer science of consumers.
