A robbery suspect, who was sought by the Punjab police in several cases of atrocious nature, escaped under the custody of Haripur Police in a condition injured Monday night. However, he was later arrested after the police authorities took action in the early hours of Tuesday.
Taking note of the incident, the district police officer suspended four service police officers from the service and ordered the registration of a case against him.
The sources of the Police Department said that the injured suspect identified as Nasir de Gujranwala was arrested during a police meeting in Rangeela Road by the City Police on May 26. Punjab police were looking for the dangerous Dacoit in several cases, including theft and theft.
