Islamabad:
The Strategic Vision Institute (SVI), a group of experts based in Islamabad, warned that the projected test of India of an intercontinental long -range ballistic missile (ICBM) at the end of this month could destabilize the region and carry “serious repercussions” for global security.
Indian Media Reports suggested that New Delhi was preparing to test his most long -range agni series missile, possibly the AGNI V or Agni VI with nuclear capacity with multiple vehicle capacity of Reengrication of Reengrication (MIRV) independently, said the SVI in a press release. A warning has already been issued (Notam) for August 20 to 21, blocking a runner of more than 4,700 km in Bengal Bay.
The group of experts declared that India missile developments had accelerated since their membership in the missile technology control regime (MTCR) in 2016, which gave access to advanced technologies and equipment. He added that India had also acquired armed drones of the United States and Israel, some of which were used during the May 2025 conflict with Pakistan.
“The missile developments with ranges of 8,000 km and more and that have nuclear capacity are a clear manifestation of the power projection worldwide and hegemonic designs,” said the SVI, and added that such weapons would put Washington, Moscow, Brussels, Beijing and other important cities within the range of footprints.
The group of experts declared that India had already militarized and nuclearized the Indian Ocean with submarines with nuclear engine armed with ballistic missiles ready with submarines (SLBMS). He added that the improved missile systems test intended to send a message to Indian adversaries and strengthen their global energy projection ambitions.
“The international community needs to persuade India so that it does not take measures that undermine strategic stability and adopt policies that can endanger regional and global security,” the SVI warned. The Institute also urged New Delhi to “commit to a good neighborhood, end terrorism sponsored by the State through representatives, stop oppression of the assholes and fulfill their obligations under the UN letter and international law.”
