Talal discusses migration with the United Kingdom Cooper


Islamabad:

The Minister of State of the Interior Talal Chaudhry participated in the 2025 Border Security Summit held in London, where he met with the Secretary of the Interior of the United Kingdom, Yvette Cooper, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom Hamish Faulkner and Angela Eagle.

Chaudhry also maintained discussions with interior ministers of Germany, Spain, Austria and Poland, focusing on border security and international cooperation.

During conversations with British officials, Chaudhry emphasized the need to stop illegal immigration and promote legal ways for migration. He praised the efforts of the United Kingdom government for addressing immigration challenges and expressed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen cooperation in this regard.

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, Hamish Faulkner, recognized the positive results of a previous meeting with Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, highlighting an improved bilateral collaboration in security issues.

Talal Chaudhry emphasized the importance of a joint strategy on border security, counterterrorism and human trafficking, stating that collective action is essential to guarantee safe, legal and regulated migration.

He reiterated Pakistan’s position on global cooperation to combat illegal immigration and cross -border crimes, emphasizing that a long -term integral approach is necessary to address challenges such as illegal migration, terrorism and human trafficking.

“According to the directives of the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister, Pakistan remains actively committed worldwide to combat illegal immigration, improve border security and eliminate organized crime,” said Chaudhry.

He also revealed that Pakistan presented key proposals at the 2025 Border Security Summit, reflecting his commitment to international security and migration management.
