A convoy of 75 large cargo vehicles, escorted under tight security, left for Parachinar district with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Dr Saif present to see off the first group of vehicles.

Following special directives from KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Advocate Saif reached Kohat late at night, Express News reported.

He then proceeded towards Chappri border area in Kurram, accompanied by Kohat commissioner, DIG and other police and district administration officials.

Dr. Saif stated that the convoy consists of 22, 10 and 6 wheel trucks, all under strict security measures.

The convoy is carrying essential supplies, including five trucks of medicines, 10 of vegetables, nine of oil and ghee, five of flour, seven of sugar, two of gas cylinders and 26 trucks carrying other grocery items.

The vehicles are parked in Chapri, where police and other law enforcement agencies ensure their security responsibilities.

The KP government has announced that any group that engages in aggression after the Kurram peace agreement will be treated as terrorists and dealt with accordingly.

KP Information Advisor Barrister Saif stated that travel and security measures were being taken for convoys leaving on Saturday. He stressed that, according to the decisions of the Apex Committee, the area will be cleared of weapons and bunkers.

He further explained that, according to the agreement, both parties had to present a coordinated plan for the delivery of weapons within 15 days, the display and open use of weapons would be prohibited and the collection of donations for the purchase of weapons would not be allowed. . be allowed.

Lawyer Saif added that according to the agreement, all parties were prohibited from building new bunkers and that existing bunkers in the area had to be dismantled within a month.

He clarified that after the dismantling of the bunkers, any party that resorts to aggression will be considered terrorists and measures will be taken against them.
