The information minister, Attaullah Tarar, has said that credible intelligence reports suggest that India is planning military action against Pakistan within the next 24 to 36 hours, using Pahalgam’s recent attack in the Jammu and Kashmir of India illegally occupied (Iiojk) as a pretext.

In a video statement published on Tuesday night, he said that India is based on “unfounded and self -opened accusations” related to the Pahalgam incident, in which 26 people were killed.

“There is verified intelligence indicating that India intends to carry out a military operation against Pakistan. India is using the Pahalgam incident as a justification for aggression,” said the minister.

He warned that any form of Aggression of India would find a decisive and strong response. “Pakistan will hold India for the potentially disastrous consequences in the region,” he added.

Rejecting the narrative of India, the minister declared that Pakistan dismisses the self -imposed role of New Delhi as “plaintiff, judge and executioner” in regional matters. He reiterated that Pakistan has been a victim of terrorism for more than two decades and condemned terrorism in all its forms worldwide.

Tarar said that Pakistan had acted as a responsible state after the Pahalgam incident by offering an independent and neutral investigation to discover the facts and reasons behind the attack. “Unfortunately, India chose the path of irrationality and confrontation,” he said.

In addition, he affirmed that India’s refusal to accept an impartial investigation exposes his underlying motifs. “Using such attacks to pursue political objectives is unfortunate and condemnable,” he said.

When reaffirming the Pakistan position, he concluded by saying: “Any military adventurism of India will receive a certain and decisive response. The international community must recognize that the responsibility of any catastrophic escalation will rest only with India. The people of Pakistan will defend their sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.”
