Taylor Swift announced his commitment to the NFL Travis Kelce star on August 26 through an Instagram post with multiple photos of the couple.
But, the title that accompanies the post left some confused fans about whether she had also revealed a wedding.
The publication of the pop superstar included the message: “its English teacher and their gymnastics teacher marry”, which causes generalized speculation on social networks about wedding plans and the possible guest lists.
However, sources close to the couple clarified that Swift had announced only a commitment, not an immediate wedding.
“Taylor and Travis have been celebrating from the commitment,” a source close to the Kelce family told People.
“They are not yet in the wedding planning phase. At this time they just want to enjoy being committed and will take their time with it.”
The source added: “It has been a relief not to have to keep it a secret and rejoice that it is in sight. Both families are delighted. There were toast, happy tears and everyone is delighted from them.”
The clarification led some fans to mistakenly believe that Swift had canceled a wedding, although no wedding had been announced.
The confusion was due to the interpretation of its figurative instagram subtitle literally instead of understanding it as an advertisement of commitment.
