Taylor Swift once said there would be no explanations, just reputation, and she seems true to her word as fans believe the pop superstar is launching. Reputation (Taylor version).
The 35-year-old singer shocked her fans by making new changes to her 2017 album, without prior notice.
Several Swifties took to social media and shared their confusion over the new lyrics to their songs. I did something bad and Delicate on Apple Music after the Dolby Atmos sound update.
As Swift sang, “But if you drop my name, then I don’t owe you anything / And if you spend my change, then you deserved it,” in I did something badthe lyrics now are: “If a man talks s—, then I don’t owe him anything / And if he calls me a bitch, then he deserved it.”
While Delicate has changed from “Oh damn, I’ve never seen that color blue” to “Damn, I’ve never seen that color blue.”
The lyric change took the internet by storm, and Swifties also noticed a subtle change in vocals, leading them to speculate whether the Grammy winner is sharing a sneak peek of the re-recorded version.
The theory wouldn’t be far-fetched, but very similar to Swift’s, as she did the same thing when she originally released the album in 2017. She shared many cryptic posts before the release and finally revealed the cover art and release date.
