Taylor Towsend let a roar escape after altering Jelena Ostopenko in the 25th, 7-5, 6-1, in his second round match at the US Open on Wednesday.
But a face -to -face confrontation between the two competitors in Center Court was the biggest story that came out of court 11.
Towsend said that Ostopenko, a Native of Latvia who has a title of the France Open under his credit since 2017, said “has no class” and “without education.”

Towsend, who is black, was asked by a journalist if Ostapenko’s comments on the network had racial nuances.
“I did not take it that way, but also, you know, that has been a stigma in our community of being” unadchnus “and all things, when it is the furthest from truth,” Towsend replied.
“So, whether I had racial nuances or not, that is something I can talk about. The only thing that worries me at this time is to continue advancing in this tournament.”
The journalists did not ask Ostapenko, but published on Instagram about the confrontation, specifically speaking of “how many messages I received that I am racist.”
“I was never racist in my life and respect for all people’s nations in the world,” Ostapenko published. “For me, no matter where you come from.”

During the verbal altercation on the network, Ostopenko said something inaudible for Towsend when he went to shake the hand of the chair. He clearly bothens, who had an exasperated expression on his face before things warm up a little more.
Ostopenko was seen by stirring his finger to Towsend as they were scared from one place to another.
“It’s competition. People get angry when they lose,” Towsend said, who occupies the number 1 in doubles, after the game.

Towsend added that in past matches against Ostopenko there were never problems.
“There are no beef on my side,” he said. “She told me that I had no education, or class, and to see what happens if we play ourselves outside the United States, I said: ‘I am excited. Bring it.’ I have never been the one that supports something like that.”
The publication of Towsend’s social networks began by saying that he felt that Towsend was “disrespectful” after not apologizing for the network cable that helped her secure a point in the game.
“There are some rules in tennis that most players continue and it was (the) first time this happened to me on the tour,” Ostopenko said. “If he plays in his homeland, he doesn’t mean he can behave and do whatever he wants.”
Ostopenko did not like Towsend to heat up before the match on the network instead of on the baseline. Towsend said he has been doing the routine for years and that it has never been a problem.
