The dear Texas A&M pet is in repair after undergoing a medical procedure to address a health concern, said a university official.
Reveille X, a collie, took their right eye surgically after veterinarians diagnosed glaucoma. Reveille X, also known as “Aggieland’s First Lady”, experienced discomfort and cloudiness in the eye before diagnosis and surgery, said Texas A&M president, Mark A. Welsh III.
The elimination of the eye was carried out by great caution after discovering signs of abnormal tissue, Welsh added.

The Texas A&M Reveille pet dates back to 1931, when a group of cadets found an injured dog and placed it to the campus. The dog threw when Buglers played in the morning of the morning, which won the name of the Reveille.

Reveille X, the latest Iteration of the Aggies pet, has been patrolling the lateral line of the team since the 2021 season. An improved golf cart known as “Rev Force One” helps transport the Collie through the campus.
Welsh said Reveille will need some time of his duties as he continues to recover. However, long -haired collie is expected to resume commitments in autumn.

“According to her veterinary team, we can expect Miss Rev to return to enjoy all her favorite activities: to navigate for Rev Force One, attend classes, encourage the Aggies and keep our squirrels of the campus online, this fall,” he said.
Texas A&M was 8-5 last season, under the chief coach of the first year, Mike Elko.
