HYDERABAD:
The brother of Pakistan People’s Party MPA Shahid Abdul Salaam Thahim has accused the MPA and his paternal uncle of corruption, alleging that their actions have tarnished the reputation of his late father, former provincial minister Abdul Salaam Thahim. In a video message broadcast from the United States, Fahad Salaam Thahim announced his plans to return to Pakistan to restore the honor of his father and his community.
He highlighted that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is investigating a Rs 5.5 billion case against his brother, elected from Sanghar district, and others. “These funds were intended to build housing for homeless people and schools for children,” he lamented.
Thahim said the constituency had chosen his brother because of the legacy of his father, who served the people of Sanghar for three to four decades without facing a single corruption charge. In the same seat, his uncle Abdul Rehman Thahim is also allegedly tarnishing his father’s name.
He clarified that his return to Pakistan is not motivated by personal gain, stating that he already owns important properties in the United States.
