- The Witcher’s lead story designer, Artur Ganszyniec, played the game on YouTube.
- He shared anecdotes about its development, revealing that he primarily wrote the epilogue chapter.
- He also became frustrated by the “stupid” parts of its design.
the witcher Lead story designer Artur Ganszyniec has shared a gameplay of the game on his YouTube channel ahead of the upcoming remake.
Coming to the game’s epilogue, Ganszyniec shared some anecdotes about its production. He revealed that the chapter was largely done by him and project leader Jacek BrzeziĆski during nights towards the end of the game’s production.
This last-minute deadline, he added, led to some rough edges in the finished product. “Most of the epilogue, I was the one who implemented it,” he said. “I have only myself to blame for everything that is happening here.”
Frustrated by an apparent bug that prevented him from lighting one of the campfires needed to meditate in the game, he criticized his past: “That is an extremely stupid design. Artur, you should be ashamed.”
Although it is not as well known as The Witcher 3the original from 2007 the witcher The game is still considered a classic by many despite its rough edges. In 2022, series publisher CD Projekt confirmed that the Fool’s Theory team was working on a full remake. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game’s development is being carefully overseen by CD Projekt Red staff.
Presumably some of the issues identified by Ganszyniec will be addressed in this version when it is finally released.
