This is No An exercise! The 8bitdo Ultimate 2, an updated version of the Gamepad that heads our list of the best Nintendo Switch controllers, will be launched very soon.
The successor of 8bitdo Ultimate has some key updates on the original model, including a torque of TMR thumbs. These achieve the same objective as the thumbs of effects of the room to combat the drift of the stick, but are more energy efficient, which should lead to a slight increase in battery life. Although, these new RGB lighting rings could certainly eat in additional battery profits. Fortunately, as with the previous model, this also comes with a loading dock.
It also provides what the manufacturer calls ‘8Speed’ technology, whose objective is to offer wireless 2.4GHZ connectivity of less than 1ms. If it is true, that will be a very impressive update.
The Ultimate 2 also adds alternate for the triggers of its hall effect, which allows players to exchange between instant and non -linear trigger presses. As before, it obtains two rear -split buttons, as well as two new bumper buttons for additional secondary inputs.
It seems that 8 -bitdo patented software is also receiving an update. The 8bitdo Ultimate Software V2 will allow players to adjust patterns and RGB force, as well as buttons allocation, aim sensitivity and gyroscope, the press activation distance and much more.
Regarding the price and availability, the 8 Bitdo Ultimate 2 can now be prepared for $ 59.99 / £ 49.99 in the 8 -bitdo Amazon store. It seems to be delivering from March 8 in the US, but the people of the United Kingdom will have to wait a little longer until April 25. There are also three colors available: white, black and a lovely purple.
This initial version of the controller is also only compatible with the Windows and Android devices. But, with the Nintendo Switch 2 appearing on the horizon, it is reasonable to expect 8bitdo to throw a version compatible with the Switch family of systems.
