GUJRAT:
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has expressed concern over the alliance with the PML-N, calling it “necessity, not affection”.
“Though we are part of the allied government, our voices are not silenced nor our hands tied. We will speak out against any injustice,” he said while addressing Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Kisan Wing Convention in Gujrat.
The event was attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, former federal minister Qamar Zaman Kaira and PPP Central Punjab General Secretary Hassan Murtaza.
The governor lamented the detrimental impact of the PPP’s coalition with the PML-N in Punjab and said the partnership has severely damaged the party’s standing.
“These power-sharing committees have been playing games for too long, and the internal politics within these committees concerns me deeply,” he said.
