- It is unlikely that the Apple Watch 11 series obtains blood oxygen monitoring
- Your other rumored features do not feel interesting enough for me
- That means that I will probably jump up this year
Apple Watch’s 11 series is likely to be launched about six months since the launch, but rumors about their new features have been few and distant. At this time, I am struggling to see a reason to update my Apple Watch Series 10, even considering the last rumors.
Here are five reasons why I am thinking of giving the Apple Watch Series 11 a pass, from a rumored lack of new features to some potentially dull additions.
1. Blood oxygen monitoring
The last data surrounding the 11 series comes from the Bloomberg Mark Gurman reporter, who says there are no signs that Apple is about to restore a blood oxygen detection system on its next smart watch.
In case it has been lost, Apple has been forced to disable this function after a contentious patent dispute. But if Gurman, who has a solid history for Apple leaks, cannot see that he returns in the short term, that is a reason less to be updated at the end of this year.
2. 5G and satellite connectivity
The Apple Watch Ultra is the most resistant (and expensive) version of the Normal Apple Watch, often obtains high -end functions before any other watch edition. That could be the case again this year, if the rumors are correct, with 5G connectivity and the satellite potentially reaching the Ultra. However, the 11 series is expected to be lost.
The particular satellite connectivity would really interest me, since it would allow me to contact the outside world if I were caught in the desert without a signal. But to $ 799, the Apple Watch Ultra is out of my budget, and with these characteristics supposedly omitting the 11 series, that is one more reason for me to give it a pass.
3. Apple’s intelligence
Apple Intelligence has not yet ignited the world, and although I have it on my iPhone and my Mac, I think it hardly use it. And with some of Apple’s best intelligence characteristics that are delayed, there is not much incentive to use it regularly.
That means that even if the Apple Watch Series 11 comes with an Apple intelligence update, it is unlikely that it convinces me to update unless there is a great change in its abilities. For now, I am happy to sit it.
4. New colors
Occasionally, Apple draws a new Apple Watch color, and it is rumored that will happen again this year. However, although the new tones have generally been quite pleasant, the problem is that they never seem to influence me.
I don’t get meling, I think that Jet Black’s Apple Watch 10 series was beautiful, and the Deep Blue Series 7 model also caught my attention. However, I have always opted for silver aluminum clock versions because that color goes with many watches bands. Even if Apple launches a new color this year, it would probably still look for the silver thanks to its flexibility.
5. Blood pressure alerts
Apple Watch has become an excellent health tool and physical state, and is an expert in warning if your health metrics begin to show worrying signs. That could obtain another impulse this year if blood pressure monitoring reaches Apple Watch Series, as has been rumored.
My problem is not with this characteristic itself, since I think it would be worth having. The problem is that I don’t think this characteristic is enough to tempt myself to update. With all the other characteristics that I have mentioned not to do enough for me, it is unlikely that blood pressure warnings alone can tip the balance.
