- A new report describes the changes in the Apple Watch 12
- We could get new sensors and an exterior redesign
- The laptop will not be launched until September 2026
Apple Watch 11 seems likely to be presented at some point in next month, if Apple adheres to its usual schedule, but a new report suggests that its 2026 successor will have a fairly significant redesign.
This advice comes from a report in Digitimes (through Macrumors), based on supply chain sources, although we do not get too much information about what it could involve, and this is not a device that has changed a lot in terms of its gaze over the years.
The article mentions a greater number of sensors, presumably for more precise health and physical state monitoring, or perhaps to add to the metrics that can be traced. These additional sensors can be part of the redesign.
In the past, we have heard rumors of an Apple Watch with a camera and an Apple Watch with a touch -sensitive glass frame, but these possible updates are not specifically mentioned in the latest digitime reports.
Battery impulse
The new article also mentions improved energy efficiency, which hopefully means that we can expect a better battery life with the Apple Watch 12, and perhaps the Apple Watch Ultra 4 (the Apple Watch Ultra 3 should arrive this year).
In terms of this year’s model, the report says that Apple Watch 11 will obtain some Apple intelligence characteristics. However, according to what we have seen of Watchos 26, they seem likely to be administered mainly on an iPhone connected.
Given what Digitimes is predicting by 2026, it seems that Apple Watch 11 could be a more lower update. However, the publication has a mixed history for Apple devices predictions, so take that into account.
We will undoubtedly receive many more leaks and rumors about the Apple Watch 12 in the course of next year, but before that we have the Apple Watch 11, which should appear together with the phones of the iPhone 17 at some point in September.
