The Federal Cabinet approved on Tuesday the promotion of the general of the Army Chief (COA), Syed also Munir, to the range of field marshal.
The field marshal also expressed a deep gratitude to Allah Almighty to be conferred on the range of field marshal, dedicating the honor to the entire nation, the armed forces of Pakistan, and especially to the martyrs and veterans, both civil and military.
“This is not a personal achievement, but a tribute to the Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan,” said Campo Munir Marshal in a statement published by Public Relations between Services (ISPR).
He extended thanks to the president, the prime minister and the federal cabinet for his trust, emphasizing that honor is a national trust that demands the highest sacrifice.
“Millions of Asi are ready to establish their lives to defend it,” he added.
