The Chief of Army Personnel (COA), General Syed also Munir, has reaffirmed the commitment of the military to support the economic development of Pakistan, stating that Punjab has become the agricultural power of the country.

Speaking at the launch of the Green Initiative of Pakistan in Cholistan, the Gen also praised leadership and Punjab farmers for their role in the modernization of agriculture. He praised the green corporate project of the Punjab government, calling for his achievements in a short time “encouraging” and a sign of progress.

The initiative includes the inauguration of Green Mall and Service Company, Smart Agri Farm and Agricultural Research and Center. The launch ceremony was attended by Punjab Prime Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain and Musadik Malik.

The Green Agri Mall and Service company will provide farmers for quality seeds, fertilizers and discount pesticides, together with access to agricultural machinery, including drones, in terms of affordable rental.

A modern agricultural farm that covers 5,000 acres will serve as a model for advanced irrigation and efficient agriculture techniques in water, with the aim of reducing costs and increasing productivity.

The Agricultural Research and Facilities Center will offer soil tests and other research services, collaborating with institutions from all over the country to promote agricultural innovation.

Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif described the initiative as a “revolution” in modern agriculture, emphasizing their role in the progress of Punjab farmers and the general prosperity of Pakistan.

Previously, the head of the Army personnel, the general also Munir, denied on Thursday “receive any letter from anyone”, stating that “even if said letter was received, he would send it to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.”
