Christian Wilkins is considered one of the best interior defensive liners of the NFL, at least when he is healthy enough to play.
After signing a lucrative four -year contract with Las Vegas Raiders the last low season, Wilkins played in just five games in 2024 due to a foot injury.
On Thursday, Wilkins’ career with the Raiders ended.

“We have decided that it is the best for the organization to go from Christian Wilkins, and has been informed of its team release,” the team said in a statement.

“This franchise has a commitment to excellence inside and outside the field. Without a road or a clear plan for Christian’s future return, this transaction is necessary for the entire organization to advance and prepare for the new season,” concluded the Raiders statement.
The guaranteed money dispute seems to how Wilkins was treated and how he handled his rehabilitation of foot injury.

Wilkins has 22½ catches since it was a Draft selection of the NFL of Clemson’s first round. He spent the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins.
