- Also confirmed the loss of confidential files
- An investigation is currently in progress
Sensible, an important manufacturer of US sensors, has suffered a ransomware attack that paralyzed parts of its operations.
In a new 8-K form presented to the US stock and values commission. UU. (SEC), sensible said he experienced a “ransomware incident that has encrypted certain devices” on his network.
The attack “temporarily impacted” the operations of the company, the presentation of additional states, including shipping, reception, manufacturing production and “other support functions.”
Hours to attack
When detecting the intrusion, the company activated its response protocols, which include taking parts of its network offline, attracting third -party forensic experts and notifying the relevant authorities.
Sensible said that I was currently investigating the attack and that it does not have a timeline about when it could resume operations as normal.
The company also said that it lost some files in the attack, but did not detail which one and what was in them.
“The company is working to identify and review the files involved and take additional measures as appropriate based on its review, including the notification of people and the regulatory authorities in accordance with the applicable law,” he said in the presentation.
Sensata also said that he did not expect the incident to have a material impact on its financial results and operations during the three months that end on June 30, 2025, “however, the complete scope of this incident is not yet known and could result in a future determination that the incident will be material for the company’s financial statements and the results of the operations.”
At this time, no threat actor has assumed the responsibility of the attack, but it may be the case that the name of sensible appears on a data escape website, since that is also part of the pressure tactics that the computer pirates use for the victim to pay the rescue demand.
