The Ruark MR1 MKII were the best small Bluetooth speakers that they could buy when they launched, and still sound very good today. But almost eight years at the time for an update, and Ruark has wisely decided to maintain the same attractive design while widely updating what is inside.
The Ruark MR1 MK3 is very similar to its predecessors of 2017 and 2013. But this time there is a better bluetooth, improved USB audio, improved amplification and larger drivers too.
Ruark MR1 mk3 speakers: key features and prices
While the cabinets look quite identical, in addition to the new gray cloth grilles, they have been subtly redesigned inside to leave space for the new NS+ Bass/MID controllers 85 mm long. Tweeters are 20 mm silk domes.
Ruark has also adapted the class D amplification of its R410 model to offer more power and better control, and crossovers have been optimized and the low tune reflex to deliver what Ruark describes as “lower and more controlled low, an average lucid range and an exceptional detail.”
The new Bluetooth module brings APTX HD and low latency audio, and the new USB audio input offers high -resolution audio. There is also a dedicated entry for the best headdresses, with a phantic imamous stage in motion and adjustable gain.
The frequency range in the room is 50Hz to 22 kHz, which is impressive for such small speakers, and there is a subwoofer output if you need additional thrust.
The new speakers Ruark MR1 MK3 are available as of today, June 5, in a rich walnut or coal lacquer option. With a price of $ 579 / £ 399 / au $ 899, they seem a better value in the United Kingdom than in the US, but if they sound as well as the latest model, they will be a good purchase in any case.
We will check them as soon as we can, to see if they deserve a place on our list of the best stereo speakers.
