- Multiple references were found without loss in the last desktop application code
- Better than the quality of the CD to “up to 24 bits/44.1khz”
- No official announcement has been made
Sometimes, promises take time to be delivered, such as the promises of Elon Musk of full autonomous (FSD) in Tesla cars. And with all honesty, I had presented Spotify Hi-Fi, Spotify Supremium or Spotify Music Pro along with that, missions to Mars and the Hyperloop as exciting things announced and then never delivered. But it seems that I am about to demonstrate that this count.
The newly unearthed code suggests that the spotify -free level is imminent, or at least is close enough as imminent to bake in the last Spotify desktop application.
Could Spotify hi-fi get in the same way as the mission of Tesla 2018 to Mars … no?
Audio without loss of spotify: what we know so far
According to the technology expert Chris Messina, there are multiple references to “without losses” with a capital L in the last code for the Spotify Desktop application.
The references are largely refer to promotional messages within the application: “The best way to listen without losses is with Spotify Connect”, and alerts like “we feel it, this track is not yet loss” or “it seems that its Internet connection is having difficulty supporting without loss at this time.”
A message indicates the quality in which the service is transmitted, promising the “best sound quality in Spotify for music in up to 24 bits/44.1 kHz”.
The Reddit BendotlC user found a similar message, who said he found the message “greets the best sound quality in Spotify. Listen to high fidelity music in up to 24 bits/44.1 kHz” and that the function was already in the application but currently disabled. Techcrunch has confirmed that this claim seems to be true.
The message “The best way to listen to Loss is Spotify Connect” is also remarkable, because AirPlay 2 Wireless transmission of Apple is not compatible with the highest resolution codecs, so iPhone users could familiarize themselves more with the Spotify wireless option.
Spotify has not confirmed or denied anything, but it seems that all the pieces are falling in place; Earlier this year, Spotify signed new agreements with the largest record stamps that seem to help prepare for the launch of the highest quality level. It is expected to include not only the transmission of higher quality, but also the characteristics of music remix and AI as well.
