The countdown to the boys Season 5 is officially underway. In fact, Prime Video has confirmed when the fifth and final episode of the hit show will premiere, and we don’t have long to wait.
Announced yesterday (December 6) during the boys‘Brazil Comic-Con (CCXP) 2025 panel, it was revealed that the last hurrah of the popular television series will begin on April 8, 2026. It will also launch with a two-episode premiere, before new entries are released weekly until its final installment arrives on May 20.

Perhaps the biggest surprise we get is our first official look at Jared Padalecki’s mysterious character. In February it was confirmed that The boys 5 would have a Supernatural reunion, with Padalecki and Misha Collins joining Jensen Ackles, who returns as Soldier Boy, in the show’s final season. However, despite a couple of brief shots of Padalecki’s character, we don’t learn his identity.
Anyway, here’s the official blurb for the boys season 5: “In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a ‘Camp Freedom’. Annie struggles to mount a resistance against Supe’s overwhelming force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found.
“But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all the Supers off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It’s the climax, people. Big things are going to happen.”
