Darius Bazley gathered a series of notable performances with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA summer league in Las Vegas.
But the 25 -year -old front race took an abrupt turn on Thursday.
Bazley collapsed in the hard wood after driving the basket during the confrontation of the Lakers with the Boston Celtics.

Bazley remained on the floor for a few moments in remarkable discomfort. Team coaches examined Bazley before he finally left the court with the help of a wheelchair. The Celtics won the game.

The Lakers did not immediately provide an update on the striker’s injury.

Bazley was recruited by Utah’s jazz, but began his career in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder. More recently, Bazley appeared in six games with jazz during the 2023-24 season.

Bazley has had a summer, averaging 11.2 points and 8.4 rebounds on the five games in which he appeared in the Thomas & Mack center in Las Vegas.
The Lakers are scheduled to play Denver Nuggets on Friday night. Los Angeles enter the game with a 1-3 record.
