The Cleveland Browns began the rookie mini -Friday on Friday, and the rookie field marshal Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders went out to the field for the first time.
Gabriel was selected in the third round, while Sanders was chosen in the fifth round after an unprecedented slide. Gabriel received the first photos of the day, but chief coach Kevin Stefanski warned when reading too much in that.
“Yes, I would not look for anything,” said Stefanski, through a transcription of the Browns.

“I think you’ll see the whole weekend, going through spring. I mean, we don’t pay much attention to who is in that first click.”
Stefanski said he thought that “both guys did a good job”, but they didn’t commit to who would get the first photos in Saturday’s practice.
The Browns chief coach emphasized not to see “too much in” who receives the first snapshots, and that the team has a plan.

“There is a lot of time between now and September, so we will have a plan. But it is an evaluation that covers everything. It is not something that is based on practice representatives. There are many things that are dedicated to that,” Stefanski said.
The Browns have five quarterbacks on their list without a clear start of week 1. Deshaun Watson broke their Achilles tendon again in January after surgery under the same tendon in October in October 2024, and its state for the next season is in doubt.

The Browns acquired Kenny Pickett in an exchange with the Philadelphia Eagles and signed Joe Flacco with a one -year contract before the NFL draft. With the additions of Gabriel and Sanders to a Quarterback room already full, it remains to be seen who will receive the assent of week 1.
