The coach of the Cleveland Browns, Kevin Stefanski, addressed the accusations that his training decisions “sabotaged” the performance of Shedersur Sanders in the last preseason game of the season.
He had 3 of 6 with 14 aerial yards and was fired five times. Dillon Gabriel had 129 aerial yards and a TouchDown pass and Tyler Huntley led the Browns in the final unit that established his winning field goal of the game.

Sports expert Skip Bayless and others questioned Stefanski’s decision -making. Bayless said the deck was stacked against Sanders while playing with third and fourth rope players. He said the Browns “sabotaged” their performance.
On Sunday, Stefanski dismissed those accusations.
“Yes, I obviously do not worry about the type of external things, but I am committed to its development, just like all our rookies,” Stefanski said. “Then, we will continue to focus on improving our boys, and that is what we will remain committed, and that is what is important to me.”

Stefanski said he kept Sanders out of the last two minutes of the 19-16 victory over the Los Angeles Rams to give Huntley more time.
He also praised Gabriel’s growth from his first preseason game until Saturday.
“Yesterday did a good job. There is a lot, a lot to clean for our rookies and all our players,” Stefanski said. “So that is the fun part, again, as I mentioned, where we can work with these guys and build on good things, help them clean the things they have to clean.
“But really for Dillon, he goes back to spring. He goes back to all the work he has done with all these young players who put from spring until now and only need to continue building on that work.”
