Islamabad:
The Federal Cabinet has approved the Hajj policy by 2026 and the National Artificial Intelligence Policy (AI) by 2025, marking significant steps to digitize services and take advantage of technology to boost economic growth.
By chairing the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the complete digitalization of the Hajj operation next year, with the aim of providing the best facilities for pilgrims. “All efforts will be made to guarantee the good provision of services to the Pilgrims of the Hajj,” he said.
Hajj 2026 policy includes a 70% government quota and a private sector share of 30%. It was stressed that, after problems with the private sector in the previous year, private companies will guarantee the participation of pilgrims who lost the Hajj in 2025.
A new third -party validation system for Hajj operations for government and private companies will be implemented, which guarantees transparency.
The policy also includes the assignment of 1,000 seats for cases of difficulties and real -time monitoring of payments and processes for pilgrims that opt for private companies.
In addition, a transparent selection process for Hajj assistants will be carried out through a test. The government also plans to provide mobile Sim cards, digital bracelets, quality adaptations and compensation for emergency situations. The Hajj mobile application of Pakistan will be improved for payment, training and complaint management.
National Artificial Intelligence Policy 2025
In the AI front, the prime minister highlighted the government’s approach in empowering young people and improving the economy through AI. The national policy of AI 2025 aims to improve public services, productivity and economic inclusion.
Politics will encourage the development of skills, training and access of AI for women and people with disabilities. The cabinet was informed about the world -expected revolution for 2030, with important financial impacts on the global economy.
The policy will include an innovation fund of AI and an AI risk fund to encourage private sector participation. The steps to increase the use of AI in public services, cyber security and environmental management are also covered in politics.

In addition, 1 million trained professionals, 3,000 annual scholarships, 1,000 local products and 50,000 projects related to AI are attacked by 2030.
To supervise the implementation of the policy, the establishment of an AI council and an action plan was approved. The cabinet also ratified decisions made in the Cabinet Committees on privatization and legislation.
Sharif also recognized the damage caused by recent rains in several regions of the country, with the mountainous areas that suffer most. He directed that measures be taken to address the damage caused by these natural disasters.
The prime minister also praised the efforts of the Minister of Energy and his team, highlighting the successful negotiations with independent energy producers, which has resulted in billions of rupees in savings for the country.
PM Shehbaz praises the armed forces
While heading to the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz also praised Pakistan’s armed forces for his contributions to the country’s security, highlighting his triumph in the war against India, which left the world amazed by Pakistan’s military skill.
He reflected on the sacrifices made by the security forces of Pakistan, noting that their victories have won them global recognition. “Allah has honored the Armed Forces of Pakistan,” he said, added: “They won the war against India, and the world is still amazed by our victory, praising Pakistan for it.”
Sharif further praised security forces for their continuous efforts in the fight against terrorism. “Our forces are making sacrifices in the fight against terrorists,” he added.
PM affirms full support for the state of Palestine
Changing international affairs, Prime Minister Shehbaz condemned the atrocities in progress in Gaza, describing the situation as unprecedented in its severity. “The suffering witnessed in Gaza is different from everything we have seen,” he said, pointing out the generalized hunger and suffering of children.
The prime minister confirmed that the aid in the form of food supplies had been sent to Gaza, coordinated by the National Disaster Management Authority, and would be sent through Jordan.
“The state of Palestine will have all our support to ensure their rights,” he said. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to work with other countries to ensure that the Palestinian people receive justice.
