The Cabinet Deletes RS1.2B for the displacement of Bajaur

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa cabinet sanctioned Friday at RS1,247.5 billion for the Provincial Authority of Disaster Management (PDMA) to provide food and non-food assistance to displaced families voluntarily affected by specific operations against terrorists in parts of the District of Bajaur.

The 38th Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, attended the members of the Cabinet, the main secretary, the additional main secretaries, the Senior Member’s Revenue Board, the Administrative Secretaries and the General Lawyer.

Inform reporters about the decisions of the Cabinet, advisor to the principal minister on information and public relations, lawyer Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, said the meeting approved measures that cover relief and rehabilitation, public health, law and order, tourism, archeology, afforestation, labor reforms and communications.

In the security sector, the cabinet approved the reconstruction of the police lines of Malak Saad Shaheed in Peshawar, the construction of police hostels at the Daudzai and West Cantt police stations, and the establishment of five new police stations along with eight police positions in Peshawar under a scheme that does not have RS3,625 million RS3,625 million. He also assigned land for a new police station in Akbarpura, Nowshera, and declared the sub-Cárcel newly built in Swabi as a district jail while changing 165 positions to make it operational, racing the way for the transfer of prisoners of the old enlamp installation.

In the health sector, the cabinet approved the improved cost to improve RHC Oghi in Mansehra to a category D hospital, supported a fund flow mechanism for subcontracted health centers and sanctioned a subsidy of RS10 million for the Rukhsana Mother And Childcare Trust hospital. It also approved RS9.5 million for the celebration of the Kalash and Baha’i community festivals, reflecting the province’s commitment to minority well -being.

On tourism and the environment, the cabinet approved the establishment of what will be the largest safari park in Nowshera transferring 560 acres of land to the Department of Wildlife. In Tank, 14,718 acres of arid land were delivered to the Forest Department for Forestation in the first phase and the conservation of wildlife in the second.

For urban transport, the meeting approved the hiring of 50 additional buses for the rapid bus traffic system (BRT) in Peshawar. The minimum wage for adult workers, unqualified, youth and adolescents from RS36,000 to RS40,000 per month also increased.

The cabinet was also informed about food security, with officials stating that, although wheat prices had increased in recent days, the levels of provincial actions remained stable.
