- This laptop has the Xcaim, Clinkx and Clinkcaim brand
- Eliminates the touch panel, introducing a totally interactive footrest
- Admit a edge to edge keyboard, as well as an integrated status bar for the call screen
A relatively unknown Chinese company, Emdoor Digital Technology, has entered a prototype commercial laptop with an unconventional design, winning the prestigious design prize by 2025.
The XCAIM laptop computer stands out immediately with its edge -to -edge keyboard, eliminating the traditional palm rest area and replacing the conventional tactile panel with a fully interactive palm rest surface with touch buttons.
The XCAIM laptop will have a SSD 980 Samsung V-Nand, available in capabilities ranging from 250 GB to 1 TB, which suggests that it could be an adequate laptop computer for programming.
A bold rethinking of laptop computer design
Like the honor Magicbook Art 14 (2024), the XCAIM laptop comes with a modular commercial webcam that is magnetically attached above the screen, integrates real -time environmental detection and can serve as a secondary screen when separating, showing shortcuts and notifications.
The XCAIM laptop computer adopts an elegant and modern design with a black and white scheme, and thin bezels. It has a regular hinge design and a chewing style keyboard. The function keys are replaced with a touch -sensitive function area.
Just below the keyboard, a small horizontal screen shows system status icons, call information and a digital battery screen. A removable lower panel reveals double cooling fans.
The connectivity options of the laptop are minimal, with only three USB-C ports, two on the right side and one to the left.
The XCAIM laptop is not yet commercially available, but offers a vision of a future where commercial laptop designs are released from tradition, adopting new forms of interaction and integration of AI tools.
