Behind the iron bars, a pair of ancient eyes watch the crowd come and go. His hands, destined for forests and sun-warmed branches, rest on the cold steel. In the silence between the clicks of cameras and the cheers of children, your heart remembers the freedom of the sky, the rustling of the leaves, the language of the wind. KARACHI:
As the spirit of Eidul Fitr swept through Karachi, the city transformed into a vibrant tapestry of joy, laughter and togetherness. With the holidays in full swing, thousands of citizens came out with their families, turning the metropolis into a center of recreation, celebration and shared happiness.
From the sandy shores of the sea to the leafy paths of the parks, the people of Karachi enthusiastically welcomed the festive holidays. Popular locations like Karachi Zoo, Hill Park, Safari Park, PAF Museum and Maritime Museum witnessed an overwhelming influx of visitors, each looking to create cherished memories with their loved ones.
Karachi Zoo emerged as one of the busiest attractions, especially on the second day of Eid. Children’s laughter echoed through the park as they enjoyed swings, toy train rides and boat rides, while adults enjoyed the pleasant weather and family time. The zoo’s residents—lions, monkeys, deer, and more—remained a constant source of fascination for young visitors. The food stalls were bustling with activity, completing the atmosphere of a perfect family picnic that lasted well into the night.
Families visiting from other cities also praised the zoo’s lively atmosphere and facilities, calling it an ideal destination to enhance the joy of Eid. Many emphasized that these types of outings are essential to truly celebrating the occasion, giving children the freedom to have fun.
Meanwhile, the city’s coast presented a lively scene of festivity. A large number of people thronged the beaches, where the fresh sea breeze and pleasant climate added to the charm. Young people danced to the rhythm of drums, while families enjoyed camel and horse rides, turning the coast into a scene of vibrant celebration.
For many, a trip to the beach has become an inseparable tradition of Eid. “Eid feels incomplete without visiting the sea,” said one visitor, reflecting a sentiment shared by many.
Elsewhere, the Hill Park play area and Safari Park remained packed, with children queuing for the rides and families enjoying the festive atmosphere. Similarly, the PAF Museum and the Maritime Museum attracted large crowds eager to spend quality time in recreational and educational settings.
As night fell, the city’s famous food streets came to life. Areas like Burns Road, Hussainabad, Boat Basin and Hasan Square were bustling with activity late into the night. From sizzling karahi and smoky barbecue to aromatic biryani and haleem, food lovers were treated to a feast of traditional flavours. Restaurants and cafes across the city reported large crowds, as people continued their celebrations with hearty meals.
In every corner of Karachi, Eid was not just celebrated – it was lived, and every outing, every meal and every moment shared added color to the city’s festive canvas.
