Karachi:
Five people were injured during a clash between two groups near the crossing of the Gharibad railroad on Sunday.
The incident occurred within the Police Station of the Azizabad jurisdiction, where residents of improvised huts and people from a nearby residential area fought, which caused injuries to five people, including a woman.
Police said that during the clash, enraged people set fire to the cabins, burning five of them completely. A fire tender arrived at the scene and put the fire under control.
According to the police, the injured declared that some children from the nearby residential area used to go to the cabins for drug use, to which the residents of the cabin objected. When they were arrested, a fight broke out.
The injured were transferred to the Abasi Shaheed hospital to receive medical treatment. The Police identified Allah Wasia, 34, Khalid, 35, Noor Jahan, 48, Imtiaz, 50 years old and Dar Naz, 55. It was said that everyone was out of danger.
Police also said that investigations on the incident have begun, while a search is being carried out for those responsible for setting fire.
