The former New York Yankees star, Mark Teixeira, hit the Democrats before the United States Senate could not approve a bill that would have avoided a government closure.
Teixeira, who is postulated to Congress in Texas, responded on social networks to a warning of the representative of the president of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, R-Louisiana, who said Monday in Pak Gazette Channel that Senator Chuck Schumer, D-New York and the Democratic Party planned to close the government to “turn off its base of Extreme Left.”

The World Series champion suggested that he had enough.
“This is exactly why I’m running,” Teixeira wrote on X on Tuesday. “Democrats are destroying our country, and President Trump needs reinforcements that will fight to recover our country.”
Hours after the position of Teixeira, the Government Financing Bill failed to pass the Senate. The bill, which would have given the Congress until November 21 to establish financing priorities of fiscal year 2026, approved the Chamber largely in the lines of the party on September 19. The Senate is expected to vote again the same bill on Wednesday, with more votes for the rest of the week and on the weekend until an agreement or Democrats will be reached.
President Donald Trump told journalists earlier on the day that Republicans did not want a closure, but warned that the Republican party could inflict the Democrats if the government closes.

“We can do things during the closure that are irreversible, which are bad for them and irreversible by them, such as cutting a large number of people, cutting things they like, cutting programs they like,” Trump said in reference to the administration office and the memorandum of the budget about mass layoffs.
Schumer, the senate minority leader, responded to Trump during a press conference on Tuesday: “Well, Trump admitted that he is using Americans as political pawns. He admits that he is doing the dismissal of people. If God does not delay it, he is using Americans as pawns.”
“As I said, the Democrats did not want a closure. We are ready to work with the Republicans to find a bipartisan commitment, and the ball is on their court,” said Schumer.
Teixeira launched its campaign for the 21st Texas Congress District in August. The decision of the representative Chip Roy followed not to seek re -election.
