A new learning assistant with AI, Codio Coach, claims to increase students by 15% using a socratic method inspired by a 2,400 -year approach.
Codio Coach, launched in April 2024, was built using the large Claude language model of Anthrope and is designed to guide students instead of providing direct answers.
Codio’s research, extracted from 1,800 students in 39 computer courses between January 2023 and December 2024, shows that medium -class grades increased by 15% and average qualifications increased by 12% when the Codio coach joined the courses.
