According to the reports, the executives of the Washington commanders fear that they have to restore the nickname of the Redskins or possibly face President Donald Trump hindering his agreement of the DC stadium in some way.
The organization has recently been criticized by Trump for not restoring the name in a series of social publications of truth earlier this month. The Post New York reported Wednesday that team owners Josh Harris and David Blitz warned the commercial partners that the White House “has some influence” on their plans to build a stadium in the old RFK stadium site.
The stadium is in federal lands leased to the DC government for at least the next 99 years, said the New York Post. The DC Council will vote on a revised bill that would allow commanders to build the stadium, said President Phil Mendelson last week.

The $ 3.7 billion project would receive $ 1 billion in public financing of $ 2.7 billion of the organization itself.
The New York Post reported that Trump can “use its control of the administrative state to extract concessions.” A source warned at the exit that Harris and Blitzer can have to “crawl before Trump gave” if they finally decide to change the name.
Pak Gazette Digital contacted the commanders to comment.
Trump exerted pressure on the commanders and guardians of Cleveland, calling both organizations in two positions made in Truth Social.
“My statement about the Washington Redskins has exploded completely, but only in a very positive way,” Trump wrote on social networks. “I can put a restriction on them that if they do not change the name to the ‘Washington Redskins”, and getting rid of the ridiculous nickname, ‘Washington commanders’, I will not make a deal to build a stadium in Washington. The team would be much more valuable, and the agreement would be more exciting for everyone.”
The president added that the guardians should do the same.

“Cleveland should do the same with the Cleveland Indians. The owner of the Cleveland baseball team, Matt Dolan, who is very political, has lost three elections in a row due to that ridiculous change of name,” Trump added. “What he does not understand is that if he changed the name to the Cleveland Indians, he could actually win an election. The Indians are being treated unfairly. Make the Indians again again (crumb)!”
It was the second time in a day that made his demands.
“Washington ‘whatever it is’ should immediately change your name to the Washington Redskins football team. There is a big cry for this,” Trump wrote in Truth Social on Sunday. “Similarly, the Cleveland Indians, one of the six original baseball teams, with a historical past.
“Our great Indian people, in large quantities, want this to happen. His inheritance and prestige are systematically removed. Times are different now that three or four years ago. We are a country of passion and common sense. Owners, do it!”
Mendelson suggested 106.7 the fan in DC in the “Grant and Danny” program that would have no “problem” with a possible name change.

“He suggested that the past opposition of the team would move back to the city, while Redskins was more called to do with Dan Snyder than the name,” wrote Radio Grant Pauln on Mendelson. “He suggested that he would have no problem welcoming the team with the name of Redskins now.”
Harris has remained firm in keeping the name of the commanders in progress. Hae said in the “special report” of Pak Gazette Channel in April that the team would not bring back the name of the Redskins even with plans to build a new stadium in Washington, DC
“The name of the commanders has actually acquired a surprising type of element in our building,” Harris replied to Bret Baier’s question about the name of Redskins that returns as part of this new stadium agreement. “So, people that certain types of players are difficult, who love football, are delegated commanders and Jayden [Daniels]For example, he is a commander, and are classified.
“And, you know, the commercial staff has gotten into it, and obviously, we are in a military city here. There are more military personnel than anywhere else, so we are moving forward with the name of the commanders, excited about that and not looking back.”
