The former campocort of the Reds of the Cincinnati, Zack Cozart, was a firm defender of Donald Trump when he defeated former vice president Kamala Harris for the White House in the presidential elections of 2024.
But the only All-Star of the MLB drew a line in his support for the president on Monday when Trump asked for mass evacuations in Tehran, while the tensions between Israel and Iran intensified.

“If Trump puts us in a war, I will not support him, and I am sure that most of you know that I love Trump,” Cozart wrote in a publication about X.
Trump will leave the G7 summit in Canada on Monday night due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
“President Trump had a great day in the G7, even signing an important commercial agreement with the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Keir Starmer,” said White House Secretary Karoline Leavitt. “A lot was achieved, but due to what is happening in the Middle East, President Trump will leave tonight after dinner with heads of state.”

Meanwhile, the White House spokesman Alex Pfeiffer, dismissed reports that the US army joined Israel in an attack against Iran.
“This is not true. US forces maintain their defensive position, and that has not changed. We will defend US interests,” Pfeiffer wrote in X.
Cozart left Trump’s support before the president’s speech at the Republican National Convention almost a year ago.
“I don’t know about everyone, but I can’t wait to vote for Trump … honestly, I’ve never seen the party as united as now … They tried to kill our president … less we can do is vote!” He wrote.
Cozart played in Major League Baseball from 2011 to 2019. The Native of Tennessee was a second round of the Reds in 2007. He played with Los Angeles Angels during the last two years of his career in 2018 and 2019.

It was an All-Star in 2017 when he hit 24 homers, led 63 races and hit .297.
He played in 839 career games, hit .247 with a percentage based on .300 and an PAHO of .699 with 87 career homers and 305 ranges.
